Why this is the correct answer
In addition to the general principles on overtaking, it indicates the prohibition for all vehicles to overtake motor vehicles travelling on the carriageway, except when those vehicles are two-wheeled motorcycles and provided that the area reserved for oncoming traffic is not invaded, from the place where the sign is situated up to the next "End of no overtaking" sign or "End of prohibitions" sign. When placed in locations where overtaking is prohibited by default, it serves as a general reminder of the prohibition on carrying out this manoeuvre.
