At an accident scene, you find an unconscious motorcyclist still wearing a helmet. What should you do?
- A Remove the helmet immediately
- ✓ Keep it on unless life is at risk and call 112
- C Lift and sit them up
- D Give them water
Why this is the correct answer
The helmet should not be removed unless there is a life-threatening risk (respiratory arrest/vomiting). Generally keep it on and request specialist medical care.
