Transport of People and Goods
If a rear-facing child seat is placed in the front passenger seat, what must be done with the front airbag?
- A Leave it activated for safety
- ✓ Deactivate it; if not possible, the child must not sit there
- C It does not matter, the airbag protects anyway
- D Cover it with a blanket
Why this is the correct answer
The front airbag must be deactivated before placing a rear-facing seat in the front. If it cannot be deactivated, the child must not be seated there, as the airbag could strike the seat.
