Lighting and Optical Signals
If a vehicle travelling ahead of you in the same direction is close, may you use the main beam?
- A Yes, as long as they also have it on
- ✓ No, it could dazzle them through their mirrors
- C Yes, it does not affect the vehicle ahead
- D Yes, but only on motorways
Why this is the correct answer
No. The main beam must also be switched off so as not to dazzle the driver ahead through their rear-view mirrors, not only oncoming drivers.
