In tunnels with one lane per direction, pedestrian crossings, intersections and railway crossings, overtaking is, in general:
- A Permitted if the road is clear
- ✓ Generally prohibited
- C Permitted only in daylight
- D Compulsory to keep traffic flowing
Why this is the correct answer
Overtaking is generally prohibited in these areas. However, at intersections, you may overtake two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles/bicycles), while at pedestrian crossings, you may only overtake if you are driving at a speed slow enough to stop immediately should a pedestrian appear.
