Why this is the correct answer
The minimum lateral distance when overtaking a cyclist is 1.5 metres. If the carriageway has more than one lane in each direction, you must change lanes completely. Outside built-up areas you must also slow to at least 20 km/h below the speed limit for the whole overtake (RGC Art. 85.4).
